Survey and archival research notes#
The survey article already cites Howatt v. Humboldt Milling Co., 61 Cal.App. 333 (1923), and Weaver v. Howatt, 161 Cal. 77 (1911), with the later appeal at 171 Cal. 302 (1915). These are historical survey-discussion references. The library does not apply them to a present boundary or property question.
The National Archives Record Group 49 guide is a collection-level lead for Humboldt Meridian township maps maintained by the Eureka land office. It is not a confirmed item-level citation for the particular original field notes. The survey-history article preserves that research distinction.
