Avenue of the Giants Visitor Guide

Route orientation#

California State Parks describes the Avenue of the Giants, State Route 254, as a corridor roughly parallel to U.S. 101 between Phillipsville and Pepperwood. Its official park information and brochure map are the starting points for orientation.

South to north#

Use the park map to follow the corridor from the Phillipsville end toward Miranda, Myers Flat, Weott, and the northern park area toward Pepperwood. Choose stops from current park information rather than assuming every place shown in a historical publication is presently open.

North to south#

Read the same official map in reverse from the Pepperwood end toward Weott, Myers Flat, Miranda, and Phillipsville. This is broad orientation, not turn-by-turn navigation or a confirmation of road conditions.
