The library provides historical and geographic explanations with source links. Different documents and images have different provenance and reuse terms.
Historical sources and summaries#
Read the complete source document before relying on an excerpt or summary. The library does not determine current ownership, boundaries, road access, or water rights. Its historical material is not a current travel guide.
Image licenses#
Use the creator, source, license link, and modification notice shown on each media detail page. Creative Commons share-alike photographs and their adaptations retain the indicated license. The availability of a government document does not by itself establish permission to reuse every image inside it.
Historical record scans already in the library have not been repurposed as wallpapers where reproduction rights remain unconfirmed. The original schematic diagrams are labeled as educational illustrations, not official survey geometry.
Downloads and future products#
Available wallpaper downloads require no account or payment. No shop, checkout, premium purchase, or commercial-license offer is active. A future product would need its own confirmed rights and clear terms; the site does not offer exclusive rights to third-party Creative Commons photographs.
