The server checks these official sources every 30 minutes and serves a shared local cache. Opening this page does not send a request to the government services. Each source is validated independently; if an update fails, its last successful response is retained and labeled. A source with no successful response is shown as unavailable.
River and road data are labeled stale after two hours; weather forecasts after 18 hours; park retrievals after 12 hours. These thresholds describe the freshness of this display, not the validity of an agency notice. The park’s “Last Checked” timestamp identifies its panel check, not a new restriction announcement. An empty panel does not establish unrestricted access.
The charts plot actual USGS observations over the previous seven days. Lines break across gaps longer than 90 minutes. The vertical scale adjusts to the displayed values and does not start at zero; read its labels when comparing changes. No interpolation, seasonal percentile, flood threshold, or historical average is inferred. Station gauge heights use different local reference datums and should not be compared as elevations.
Times are displayed in America/Los_Angeles with the applicable PST/PDT label. CSV downloads retain the source timestamps and approval status. USGS values may be provisional.
